Job Description

Job Title: Travel MRI Technologist

Location: New York, NY 10029
Duration: Flexible | 13–26 Weeks (Holiday Coverage Available)
Schedule: Nights | 12:00 AM – 8:00 AM | 5x8 | 40 hours per week
Call Requirement: One night of call per week and every 7th weekend

Pay Rate: $3,070 Weekly Gross

Position Overview:

The Travel MRI Technologist will be responsible for performing high-quality magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures in a hospital or clinical environment. The technologist will ensure patient safety, image accuracy, and compliance with all radiology standards while providing exceptional patient care and supporting diagnostic excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform MRI scans following established protocols and physician orders.

  • Operate MRI scanners, ensuring optimal image quality and patient safety.

  • Prepare and position patients appropriately for imaging procedures.

  • Evaluate images for technical quality and proper identification.

  • Maintain detailed records of performed studies and patient information.

  • Adhere to safety protocols related to magnetic field exposure.

  • Collaborate effectively with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare staff.

  • Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled.

Required Qualifications & Certifications:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of MRI experience, preferably working with GE scanner systems.

  • Graduate of an AMA or J.C.E.R.T. accredited Radiologic Technology program.

  • ARRT (MRI) CertificationRequired.

  • New York State License in Diagnostic RadiologyRequired.

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification – Required.

  • Strong understanding of MRI physics, cross-sectional anatomy, and imaging techniques.

  • Excellent technical, analytical, and communication skills.
