Waking Night Support Worker – Children’s Residential Home (Clacton-on-Sea)Full-time | £28,157 – £30,764 per year | 4-on, 4-off shifts | 10pm–8am

Are you passionate about making a real difference in a young person's life? We’re looking for Waking Night Support Workers to join our small and supportive residential children’s home in Clacton-on-Sea.

Our home currently cares for one young man, but the home is registered to support one young person of any gender aged 12–17. You’ll be part of a close-knit, caring team helping young people feel safe, supported, and valued.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide emotional support and a calm presence overnight
• Keep the home safe and secure during night hours
• Respond to any incidents or needs calmly and professionally
• Help with morning routines and handover to the day staff
• Follow care plans and safeguarding procedures

About You:

• Passionate about working with young people
• Calm, patient, and reliable during challenging situations
• Experience with young people with EBD, Autism, or ADHD (a bonus, not essential)
• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willing to train – we’ll support you!)
• Full UK driving licence preferred

What We Offer:

• Salary: £28,157 – £30,764 per year (depending on qualifications)
• Shifts: 4 nights on, 4 nights off (22:00 – 08:00)
• Annual leave: 240 hours (30 days)
