Warehouse Operator I - Night / B Shift

As a Warehouse Operator I, supporting the Custom Pak area, you will be trusted to perform a combination of manual and clerical shipping and/or receiving duties, requiring the use of hand trucks, forklifts, and other devices, as well as computers to maintain data at the Manufacturing Facility in Houston, TX !

In this role, a typical day will include:

• Performing accurate and quick pick of inventory from warehouse shelves.
• Using handheld scanner to record transactions.
• Inspecting inventory for defects and damages during inventory picking.
• Organizing and storing picked inventory into totes or as directed.
• Working to ensure that all picking transactions for the day are completed.
• Following and maintaining safety standards in work area and while performing job functions.
• Maintaining clean work area and warehouse.
  
  

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
• Work hours: Night/B shift (10 hours): Monday – Thursday, 4:45 PM - 3:15 AM CST
• Location: Onsite
• Travel Requirements: 0 to 10%
• Sponsorship Available: No

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

• Prior Manufacturing or Distribution Center Experience
• Capable of maintaining physical stamina during extended periods of standing, up to 10 hours
• Skilled in precise counting and quantity verification in fast-paced environment
• Demonstrates a strong willingness to learn and brings high energy to every task
