Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Team Manager (Nights)to join our Sainsbury’s team at our site in Sherburn in Elmet. This is a multi-temperature environment covering ambient, produce and chill and frozen chambers. You will be responsible for managing and leading your own team helping to coach, motivate and engage them to create a great team culture with a strong work ethic.

This is a full time, permanent position, working any 5 nights from 7, 22:00 till 06:00.
Pay, benefits and more:
We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £36,000.00 per annum plus a shift allowance of £3,000.00 per annum and 33 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:
- To lead operational activities in your area for the duration of the shift to achieve the work plan on time and in line with budget and KPIs
- Drive performance through effective monitoring of coaching and performance
- Review all aspects of shift performance, identifying areas for improvement
- Leading the team on shift proactively to motivate high performance, develop positive engagement and good communication across the operation
- Management of the warehouse training requirement and function
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Proven experience in managing a large operational team in a fast-paced warehouse environment (ideally a food operation)
- The ability to lead continuous improvement projects whilst demonstrating excellent planning skills
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on maintaining on-site engagement
