Weekend Overnight PSW / Caregiver – Sleep Shift in Private Home
Michal K. - Private Household
Job Description
I'm a friendly, easygoing person living with Muscular Dystrophy. I’m looking for a dependable overnight caregiver to provide peace of mind and support during the night. If you’re someone who enjoys calm, low-key shifts where you’re truly appreciated—and you don’t mind waking occasionally to help when needed—this could be a great fit.
At a Glance
- Schedule: Saturdays and Sundays, 10pm–7am (~18 hours/week)
- Pay: $142.50 per night
- Location: Private residence (non-smoking home; not an agency or long-term care facility)
- Requirements: Vulnerable sector police check (cost reimbursed)
- No PSW certificate required
Why You’ll Love This Role
- Calm Sleep Shift: Most nights are quiet, with only occasional assistance needed. You’ll stay in a private, furnished guest bedroom and are free to sleep when not providing care.
- Work–Life Fit: Earn steady weekend income while keeping your days free—ideal for night owls, students, or part-time workers with flexible schedules.
- Appreciation & Respect: You’ll be welcomed into a calm, respectful home where your presence genuinely matters.
What You'll Do
- Assist with repositioning, toileting, and other personal care as needed
- Provide safety and reassurance by responding promptly if help is needed during the night
What I'm Looking For
- Reliable & Punctual – You arrive on time, ready to support. No frequent absences or last-minute cancellations.
- Committed — You take your role seriously and want to build consistency and trust over time.
- Common Sense & Compassion – You’re calm, responsive, and good in low-light or quiet situations.
- Clean & Considerate – You leave the home just as you found it, respectful of the space and routine.
- Warm & Trustworthy – You bring a reassuring, respectful presence into the home.
- Physically Capable – You move comfortably and can manage physical tasks like bending, crouching, and light lifting.
